President Bush looks GREAT tonight, and Kerry looks like he's spinning out the same old garbage, repeating himself over and over. BUT Bush just made a HUGE mistake. We will see if if Rock the Vote picks up on it over the next 3 weeks. More as the debate progresses...
Welcome to the Republic of The United States of America. Prepare to be conquered. Sounds sort of funny when you say it aloud, and yet it is to the point. The United States of America, which I so dearly love, is an Empire. We are an Empire of ideas, of culture, of entertainment and philosiphy. And we will conquer you. We may or may not invade your country. We may or may not remove your leader from power. We may or may not engage your country in an 'economic race' to bankrupt you and collap...
Over the past few months I've seen the Democrats cry foul everytime President Bush or Vice President Cheney talk about an attack on our homeland, and it's time someone put this into perspecitive. Let's look at why the American public SHOULD be afraid, and what the most important issue of this election really is: Biochemical or nuclear attack within the borders of the United States of America. Consider this scenario: Militant jihadists aligned with any of the multiple anti-American terror ce...
I design cell phone towers for a living, from the comfort of my home. I'm pretty good at it, with about 6 years experience in my current field. One of the nice things I can offer clients by basing myself at home is 24/7 response to their needs. About 90% of my work comes in after everyone else's work day, with project completion times targeted at start of business the next day. I now have clients all over the US, and as each quarter comes and goes I find myself with another client. And as the...
I've run a few skinning sites in my time. From a Super moderator at Neowin to one of the original founders of Aqua-Soft, my journey through the skinning community has been long and varied. Now I run a site called Aero-Soft.com, a spin off of Aqua-Soft.org. Instead of emulating the look of OSX on WindowsXP, now I emulate the look of Longhorn on WindowsXP. It's a good site, small but growing. Here's a few things I've seen there recently that I recommend people not do to the webmaster of a forum, b...
Perhaps this is an "October surprise" for many people; President Bush has taken the unlikely step of becoming the first President in history to open the doors of Federal laboratories to embryonic stem cell research. Obviously an attempt to win voters in the upcoming election, President Bush has caused an increase in Federal funding in stem cell research from $0 in 2001 to over $24.8 million dollars in 2004. And there is no cap set on how high this funding could go. No other President in histo...
Disclaimer: These are my beliefs, and are not an attack on your beliefs. Pretend it's 10PM, work for the day is done, and a big group of us have just hit an all night diner. The coffee is good and fresh pie is on the menu. I'll be chain smoking Camels, but its a big table, so if you dont want to sit too close thats ok... Recently Ive read some disturbing things concerning God. People come up with arguements to disprove God, or to say that God doesn't exist and it makes me wonder if they've ...
I want to make this available for everyone that would like to commemorate Christopher Reeve's passing. It was made by a friend of mine, Y/C, some years ago. I never found a real use for it until today:: You can find the wallpaper here: Sosumi Superman wallpaper Mirror link: Sosumi Superman wallpaper
In an article to the NY TImes, Senator Kerry claims that terrorism is similar to gambling and prostitution in that it is seen as little more than a "nuisance" I don't know what context this was in, but if anyone can link me to text of the actual article I would appreciate it. I'd like to actually read what he said before I comment on this. *************************************** FOUND IT: ''We have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not the focus of our lives, but t...
I live in The Woodlands, just north of Houston. For an idea of the area, you can check Link . And now we're at war with someone that dislikes Bush/ Cheney - they keep stealing our yardsigns. It happened between 4am and 11am this morning... all the Bush/ Cheney yard signs dissappeared. No other politically oriented yard signs were taken from the neighborhood, just the Republican oriented signs. I guess Im not allowed to have a political point of view that differs from whoever is stealing o...
Internal ABC memo: What it says: Halperin Memo Dated Friday October 8, 2004 It goes without saying that the stakes are getting very high for the country and the campaigns - and our responsibilities become quite grave I do not want to set off (sp?) and endless colloquy that none of us have time for today - nor do I want to stifle one. Please respond if you feel you can advance the discussion. The New York Times (Nagourney/Stevenson) and Howard Fineman on the web both ...
Rumors are circulating that an internal ABC memo has told its reporters to put the post debate coverage of Bush under closer scrutiny than Kerry. The memo supposedly states that although Kerry stretches and distorts the truth, his exagerations are not central to his election bid. More on this as it develops.
Ive been posting on JoeUser now for a few weeks now, and Ive finally broken below the 200 rank. Yay for me. But I still am not certain how all the features on this site work. For example: I read other peoples blogs and they have custom links in their side bar. I try to add custom links under My Account and they dont show up. What gives? How do I track blogs Ive responded to? Whats this referral thing? Why is my only referral from Google? Why do I sometimes lose points on my blog score...
Here's how tax cuts work, simplified for those of you that believe Republicans "favor the rich". The governent needs $100, so they tax Joe, Sue and Brad. Joe is poor, so he pays $10. Sue is middle class, so she pays $25. Brad is rich, so he pays $65. The government has $100. Time passes, and for whatever reason the government needs citizens to invest money into the economy. For the sake of this example we'll give everyone a 20% tax cut (I'm a generous blogger). Now this is where th...
I'm starting to get irritated at President Bush for throwing this election to John Kerry. A year and a half ago this President had the highest approval ratings in history, and now we're looking at 48%/ 48% polls showing a neck and neck race. This shouldn't even be a contest between President Bush and Kerry, and it's starting to piss me off. The public has on tape Senator Kerry switching positions day by day over the past year, shifting with the political winds. The guy obviously will say w...
