My wife has an aunt that is similar in age. The two grew up together and had some good times, and even to this day my wifes aunt is very close. And every Christmas, she's gotten us a unique blend of coffee. We love coffee, so this is ok. Heck, it's more than ok, it's become a singular point in the Christmas madness my wife and I look forward to. We love coffee so much we keep a backup coffee maker in case the main one breaks. We have grinders and precisely measured scoops, we keep our coffee ref...

Well, I just received THE phone call I've been waiting for for 4 years. Honestly, the one I've been waiting for since I married my wife almost 8 years ago. I got THE job. It's exactly what I've been doing for the past 5 years, designing cell phone sites (those big antenna towers you see everywhere). I work from my cozy home here in Houston for companies all over the USA. The problem with that is that during the "down time", when work is slow coming in at the change of each quarter, my wife a...

Looks like I'm getting a job. After two years of a "job interview". Technically, I already have a job - I'm self employed, working from home doing CAD design work for instruction books and telecomm companies. I've done ok over the past few years. I mean, we all have clothes and we haven't starved to death yet. My biggest client, a company out of the Northwest, is offerring me a job. I've done work for them for two years now, and it's been a great relationship. By comparison, this compan...

So my wife is on the PTO board. She also volunteers for fundraisers, goes out for coffee with friends, and basically does alot of things I'm not interested in. And sometimes, just because she likes me, she drags me along. First it was holidays with the families. I see our families all year long. They make a point to stop in at least once a month. They're good people, I like them, but this usually means I have to do foreign things around the house, like shower. When Thanksgiving comes around...

I'm restless today. No idea why, maybe it's some of the flu medicine still in my system, maybe I've spent too much time inside my house. I don't know. I'm pacing alot, going back and forth, forgetting what I was doing then starting something else. I've tried to sit down and write some insightful articles about Stardock, the oil peak and other things jumping around in my head, but they've all ended in failure - I can't write without rambling on and on and on. See what I mean? I hate this. ...

It's been a good day. Other than all the political nonsense going on (shut up already!), we've started fourth quarter projects for the big telecomm companies. And that's all fun and money. "Knock it nice and smooth and watch it flow...never gonna stop me, never gonna stop... Here's how it works: my clients send me projects at the absolutely last minute. It's great, because my biggest client is a bunch of slackers! They love that I can turn week long projects around in about two hours (ye...

I want to make this available for everyone that would like to commemorate Christopher Reeve's passing. It was made by a friend of mine, Y/C, some years ago. I never found a real use for it until today:: You can find the wallpaper here: Sosumi Superman wallpaper Mirror link: Sosumi Superman wallpaper

Please read the FULL post before leaving a comment. My anscestors hail from Scotland and Germany. At 5'11", 215lbs I have icey blue eyes and wavey blonde hair. At first glance I am the physical sumation of the Aryian ideal. To compliment this genetic cocktail I was raised in the southern USA (Texas, specifically), thus branding me a "redneck". I am a racist, and you might be one too. Let's take a step back 20 years ago to one fine summer morning. I woke up and discovered a terrible...
