A few days ago I received an email from a representative for a company that is taking DesktopX to the Japanese market. To sum it up:

"We are writing to ask you the permission of the use of your DesktopX artwork(s) at our web site.
Our company connected Stardock Corporation, Inc, with the licensing agreement of DesktopX. We are going to sell it in Japan and set up the site in which DesktopX artwork(s) are introduced. We want to introduce your cool artwork(s) to Japanese users in it."

I said yes of course. I'm sure many other DesktopX 'artists' will have their work represented in this new market. It's amazing to me that a concept I created here in my home in south Texas will be presented to people of a different culture 1/2 way around the world. 20 years ago that was almost unthinkable unless you had an established reputation as an artist. This is just another indicator that we live in amazing times.

Good luck with your venture Mr.Saito.

Hopefully we'll see some Japanese skinners soon. Japan has some unique artwork, imagine that turned into skins
