Some guy shoots himself over the 2004 election. Now someone has set themself on fire in front of the White House.

At this rate the USA won't have any liberals left in 2008.

And the ones that are left will be certifiably insane (i.e. those in "therapy" and the guy who jumped off the building)

Hmm, do I smell Darwin Award candidates in the making?

Sounds like monks burning themselves in protest. Someone told me not too long ago that this generation of people were horrible at protesting and the such. These people were sure effective!

Than who will vote for Hillary?

Ah well.

Liberals must be Liber to decide their own fates even though sometimes they strip that Liber from those who are not Liberal.

brings a whole new meaning to the concept of 'better to burn out than it is to rust' dont it?

LEapin Liz,
The reason the Buddhist Monks were committing suicide in public was for a lot of reasons , but one of the large ones was the following.
The CIA (On the orders of a DEM) Assassinated their president, put in a corrupt Catholic General as president. (this in a country that is 98% Buddhist).

I doubt that the person in front of the White House was motivated by his religious and political beliefs. Was he a Monk? Priest? Lay leader?

Geezer,
I don't know what his deal was. He felt pretty strong about it though. By effective, I only meant that the stunts got a lot of publicity! Even from a lefty's standpoint, I made it through the last four years virtually unscathed, I'll make it through the next four. I am not going to go burn myself on the White House Lawn. I can't imagine what these two people must ahve been going through to make a decision like that. I guess I;m thankful that my life isn't that connected to the President. Who knows, maybe the dude'swife is having an affair with one of the people that works in the White House and he did it to profess his love for her. That's a joke. I just don't want to take myself too seriously...

Y'know this missionary once came to my door and told me that at the rate at which the Islamic population of the United States was expanding, this was mostly through birthrate, I looked up later, that by x year there would be no more Christians left in the United States.  I don't know about him, but I'm probably not going to convert to Islam any time soon, I also don't plan on leaving the country, I further plan to be alive in, something like three or four years at this point, when the Muslims will have completely taken over the population.

Hah, that is if they can surpass the Hispanic birthrate and Christians stopped reproducing altogether!! Though where I am good Kronos Christians pop them out left and right...not that I have anything against large families at all, just that the family size of one Christian family in the midwest is astounding compared to the 4 child family I am apart of (3 out of 4, 1 Older Brother, 1 Older Sister, and 1 Younger Sister). Also, I have not even begun to add in the Amish who have large families as well.

I would also compare conversion process and number of registered Muslims to Christians, though I am sacrificing for an Occultist following of at least 2% of the US Population, which we are not even at right now.

The thing was, this guy didn't really understand mathematics.  He was taking the current population, taking the figures for how quickly the muslim population was growing, and then, without similarly increasing the population figures, figuring into the future how long until the muslims would have as many people as the population of the united states, and further figuring that their level of expansion would remain stable until the very end.

Poor Math skills do not a prophet or herald make.
Were you able to point it out to him at the time? Though I am sure he would not have listened either way.

No, unfortunately I sat there politely and gave him the answers he wanted to hear.  Then I hustled him out the door as quickly as possible.
